Cold Sore Treatment by Patty

I remember back a few years ago I was at the local supermarket trying to find a good cold sore treatment. I was talking to the pharmacist to see if there was any particular brand name that he recommended. We went over the benefits of each brand and he pointed out the medical ingredients, but it was all Greek to me. I had no clue what he was talking about, but I didn't care because I really needed something.

I was tired of getting cold sores. I hated the feeling of having it on my face. I always felt that everyone was starring at it, like they were wondering how I can go out in public with this blistering disgusting thing on my face. I know it was silly to think this, but this is how I felt.

This was a little disappointing. Heck who wouldn't be disappointed to learn that they have "herpes of the face". That even sounds terrible.

So after finding out there is no cure for cold sores, I decided to look for a better way to manage them. If I could lower the number and severity of the outbreaks, I could feel much better living with the fact I have an incurable disease.
